morning’s work – poem

morning’s work – poem

In spring things rise or some still do
The compass north points
Straight and true

Away to duty beckons brightening dawn
The poet’s best work
Remains undone

Duty fades, sundial unheeded
In morning’s garden
Tending needed

Oh cooing dove, wings wide spread
Now two can face
The day ahead

  1. šŸ™‚ someone had a nice morning?

  2. Thankfully my window’s room faces west, and I shall not have to rise so early. Especially on a Saturday…not counting that I am up now and getting ready to visit the land of dreams…again…
