it may snow – poem

December 20, 2012

Someone said it may snow

a chance of snow
of hope so glistening white
painting over earthly sorrows

each door and yard
spies unblemished parchment
begging each frosted step to carve

treasure hidden worth
with ten billion brilliant crystals
woven shroud to bury all our hurts

up in the sky
a few flakes swirl
vanish upon meeting earth, melted words unsaid

  1. “melted words unsaid” is SO well said. 🙂

  2. spring lies waiting for renewal just below its wintry covers
no words need be said, it simply sleeps waiting to be again
