silk – haiku

October 3, 2012

When I see a picture or haiku posted that I enjoy, I sometimes take the liberty of posting one in the comment field. To me, it is especially fun to share poetry. This post at Haiga 365 made me think of this.

hidden secret dreams
secured with silken bindings
of his own making

sometimes we fear our dreams and longing, and they become prisons, instead of the chrysalis that enables growth

  1. Beautiful. I LOVE haiku. When I read it, I thought it was about a spider!

    • thanks — I’m glad it worked on multiple levels for you. That’s what I always try to do.

Dreams can become prisons when we fear them? I always think they become nightmares instead.

    • eventually we wake from our nightmares, but we can wander all the days of our life in prisons or our own making

  3. Very cool…thanks for sharing – much said.

  4. This is beautiful
