The girl traced concentric circles in the sand while the boy nodded encouragingly. “The dirt was covered by designs like this, everywhere.” This was the first she’d spoken since arriving at the stronghold. “And Their movements were synchronized, uncouth, horrible, an intricate dance….”

None of the grim faced men around her spoke. She continued whispering, “They had Mamma, I tried to help her, to scream…” She stared emptily at her hand in his.

“Shit” the Quartermaster glanced to the Reaper, never without his long sword. “It must be stopped, before it spawns a daemon.”

“Son, can you take us there?”

    Nice work. Poor woman though.

    • I fear her life is not going to get easier, and in a few episodes she will need to choose, live or die…
